Phu Quoc Tourism in End of 2024 Will Be Prosperous

According to the records of city Phú Quốc in the first months of 2024, city Phú Quốc strived to implement tourism stimulus policies, attracting domestic and foreign tourists, especially international visitors. In the first quarter, the pearl island Phú Quốc welcomed more than 1.65 million visitors to visit, travel, relax... an increase of 6.4% over the same period last year, reaching 24.7% of the plan, accounting for 60% of the total number of visitors to the province in the first 3 months of 2024.

Compared to the same period last year, international visitors welcomed over 285,000 arrivals, an increase of 39.21% over the previous year, reaching 42.81% of the yearly plan. Total tourism revenue was over 6,000 billion VND, an increase of 34.61% over the previous year, reaching 35.91% of the plan. International visitors to this "pearl island" account for more than 98% of the total number of international visitors to the whole province for sightseeing, tourism and experience.

As of August 2024, Phu Quoc has welcomed an estimated 4.52 million visitors, reaching 67.61% of the annual plan. Of which, the number of international visitors reached 653,525, exceeding the 98.11% of the annual plan. Total tourism revenue during this period is estimated at over VND 14,860 billion.

International airlines bring tourists to Phu Quoc with about 100 flights/week, from many countries and territories around the world. Currently, there are many direct flights connecting to Phu Quoc in the region such as: Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand... bringing tourists to Phu Quoc for tourism. It is predicted that many international air routes will be expanded to connect Phu Quoc.

Inland shipping activities, connecting the mainland to Phu Quoc Island have been increased. High-speed ferry routes from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc and Rach Gia to Phu Quoc will be very busy at the end of the year. There are many options for domestic and foreign tourists to explore Phu Quoc and neighboring islands from many different ways.

Phu Quoc Tourism At The End Of 2024 Signals A Boom

Phu Quoc has very different advantages compared to other localities such as warm tropical climate, good service experience, unique local identity, rare tourist destinations in the world, in addition, natural conditions rarely encounter storms and less windy than other island tourist destinations in Vietnam.

According to Kien Giang Department of Tourism, it is predicted that in the last 3 months of the year, Phu Quoc will welcome about 123,258 international visitors, the total number of visitors for the year will reach the target of 847,226 visitors coming to visit and travel, exceeding the expected plan by 27% and increasing by 52.6% compared to 2023. The number of international visitors to Phu Quoc will continue to increase due to the year-end holiday of international tourist markets such as Europe, America, Japan during Christmas, New Year 2025 and winter holidays.

The number of international tourists knowing about the "pearl island" Phu Quoc has increased sharply recently due to domestic and international media activities. Information about Phu Quoc is being noticed and introduced by international channels. In addition, Phu Quoc has achieved many prestigious international awards, creating momentum for explosive development.

Especially famous travel magazines voted for Phu Quoc, famous American travel magazine Travel & Leisure publish list 25 most beautiful islands and archipelagos in the world 2024 Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam on the list, ranked second with a total score of 94.41 out of 100.

Natural elements combined with recently hot tourist destinations such as Hon Bridge, Phu Quoc night market bustling for tourists to enjoy cuisine, quiet sea activities to watch coral, go boating to fish for squid... creating a series of attractive activities.
