Regulations on compensation policy for goods lost or damaged during transportation. Regulations are issued together with Decision No. 0805-01/QD-TB dated May 8, 2013.

 

I. ITEMS AND GOODS THAT CANNOT BE SENT

  • Goods and articles that are prohibited from circulation under Vietnamese law.
  • Narcotics and psychotropic substances.
  • Weapons, ammunition, military technical equipment.
  • Obscene and reactionary cultural products; publications and documents aimed at destroying public order and opposing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
  • Explosive, flammable objects or substances and substances that are dangerous or unsanitary, causing environmental pollution.
  • Types of goods that the State prohibits trading, exporting and importing.
  • Prohibited items, publications, goods.
  • Do not send valuable documents such as money or letters with money.
  • Do not send precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, etc.), precious stones or other products processed from precious metals, precious stones or mobile phones in the goods.

 

II. REGULATIONS FOR SHIPPERS

  • Customers must be responsible for the honesty of the declaration of goods when carrying out procedures to send goods at Phu Quoc Express Ship Joint Stock Company.
  • Goods must have legal and valid invoices and documents.
  • Carefully wrap the goods, indicate the vertical direction of the goods (if any by marking the vertical direction arrow on the box, parcel or package) to ensure the safety of the goods,
  • Notify Phu Quoc Express JSC staff in case of fragile, easily spilled goods, and goods valued over 2,000,000 VND.
  • Write full information including name, address, phone number of sender and recipient on the goods.
  • Customers must ensure the packaging and packing of their goods.
  • When the goods are sent, please call the recipient so that the recipient can proactively come to the receiving point to receive the goods.

III. REGULATIONS FOR CONSIGNEES

1. For personal shipments:

  • Customers must bring ID card when receiving goods.
  • If receiving on behalf of someone else, the customer must bring both the ID card of the recipient and the person receiving on behalf.
  • Bring the registered recipient's phone number so that Phu Quoc Express Company staff can verify the information upon receiving the goods.

2. For goods sent to the Company:

  • The recipient must have a letter of introduction from the Company.
  • Must have ID card of the person being introduced.

3. Time to receive goods at Phu Quoc High-Speed Boat Joint Stock Company according to the operating hours of the ticket office in the area.

4. Upon receipt, if there is any impact on the packaging or seal outside the package, the customer can request the staff to make a confirmation record so that the Company can investigate, verify, and consider compensation according to the regulations on compensation for damages when damage or loss of transported goods occurs.

5. After 15 days from the date of shipment, if the recipient does not come to Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company to receive the goods, if there is damage or loss of goods, Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company will not resolve any complaints or questions.

6. Goods left for more than 3 days from the date Phu Quoc Express Boat Joint Stock Company notifies the customer to arrive at the place to receive the goods (the date Phu Quoc Express Boat Joint Stock Company sends the message). Storage fee is calculated at 10% freight/day. For motorbikes, it is calculated based on the overnight parking fee. Check the goods immediately after receiving the goods at the ship.

 

IV. RESPONSIBILITY OF PHU QUOC HIGH SPEEDBOAT JSC FOR COMPENSATION FOR DAMAGES IN THE EVENT OF DAMAGES AND LOST EXIT TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS

1. In case of damaged or partially lost goods: The compensation level is based on actual damage based on market price for goods of the same type at the location and time that the goods are accepted for transport by Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company, but the compensation level does not exceed 2,000,000 VND.

2. When goods have problems or are damaged, Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company will find ways to fix, repair and provide compensation based on repair costs.

3. In case of total loss of goods:

  • In case the customer provides legal and valid documents proving the actual value of the lost goods, the minimum compensation for damages is equal to 50% of the actual value of the goods, and the maximum is equal to 100% of the actual value of the goods.
  • In case the customer does not provide legal and valid documents proving the actual value of the lost goods, the compensation for damages is equal to 5 times the freight rate.

V. PHU QUOC HIGH SPEEDBOAT JOINT STOCK COMPANY NO RESPONSIBILITY INDEMNIFICATION IN CASES

  •  Goods seized by competent state agencies during transportation.
  •  Goods damaged by natural causes.
  • Customers who send goods do not remind the Company's staff to pay attention to the preservation of goods or do not comply with the regulations on preservation, packaging and packing of their goods.
  •  Goods have been received from the Company's counter.
  •  For goods sent over 15 days, Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company will call the sender to receive the goods. And after 24 hours from the time the staff of Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company calls, if the sender does not come to receive the sent goods, Phu Quoc Expressway Joint Stock Company will not be responsible for compensation for any loss or damage of the goods.
