(Update - at 10am, the Rach Gia-Phu Quoc route of Phu Quoc Express has now resumed operations to pick up and drop off passengers on July 16, 2024, the 11am and 2pm routes, we plan to increase trips this afternoon to serve the return of people to the mainland.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 16, the plains and coastal areas of the North, North and Central Central, Central Highlands and South will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. Some places will have very heavy rain. The heavy rain will be concentrated in the provinces from the North to the Central Highlands. In the South, the rain will gradually decrease in the next 1-2 days before the new rainy season begins.

Offshore waters from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai will have showers and strong thunderstorms, strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8, and rough seas. The waters of the South China Sea (including the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago) will have strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 8. Rough seas with waves 2-4m high.

During the day and night of July 16, the border area from Ba Ria Vung Tau to Ca Mau has strong southwest winds of level 6, gusting to level 7. The sea area from Ca Mau to Kien Giang, Phu Quoc has strong winds of level 4-5.

Following the direction of the Kien Giang Maritime Port Authority, due to bad weather, the ship is not licensed to operate on the Rach Gia-Kien Giang route and vice versa on July 16, 2024. Only the Ha Tien-Phu Quoc route and vice versa is allowed to operate on July 16, 2024.
