Summer comes with many exciting travel plans waiting for me, but the hustle and bustle of work has made me miss most of the opportunities to relax and explore the beautiful world outside. This time, after completing a long-term project of the company, I have decided to take a break and pack my backpack to travel. Try to enjoy this wonderful time to relax and explore places I have not been to before. I have planned to visit Ly Son Island.
As scheduled, I arrived at Chu Lai Airport - Quang Ngai at nearly 5:00 p.m. on July 18. The weather was very nice, with clear skies and light sunshine. I took the bus at the airport to leave Chu Lai for Sa Ky Port. With a total distance of about 40km, it was already dark when I arrived at Sa Ky Port. This was my first time visiting Ly Son Island, so I was extremely excited and wanted to capture every beautiful moment during the trip. Therefore, I decided to stay at a motel near Sa Ky Port for one night and early the next morning I would buy a speedboat ticket to Ly Son Island to see the sea view in the morning.
What an interesting coincidence! When I stopped by Sa Ky Port early the next morning to buy a ticket, I saw a grand opening stage of the Phu Quoc Express ship going to Sa Ky - Ly Son on the morning of July 19, 2023. Outside the pier, the bright red 2-hull speedboat stood majestically and massively, standing out against the blue water. I was also introduced that this is the most modern and safest 2-hull speedboat company today! With the travel time from Sa Ky to Ly Son shortened to only about 35 minutes. The ship is fully equipped with amenities and is smooth without worrying about seasickness, which made me extremely curious. Because I like to experience, I went to the ticket office to book a ticket to Ly Son island on this red ship. The ship will depart at 8:00 a.m. and the estimated travel time to Ly Son island will be around 8:35 a.m.
The feeling of being one of the passengers on the first departure on the opening day of the Sa Ky - Ly Son route made me feel extremely special. It was like a highlight for my whole trip! And my first impression of the Phu Quoc Express high-speed train was... big. It really was! In the middle of Sa Ky port, the red train stood out from the surrounding train companies. When I started to go to the ticket check area and board the train, there were many passengers already waiting in line. The sailors helped me carry my luggage and guided me to my seat very enthusiastically. Everyone communicated very politely and friendly, the train company's uniform was also very beautiful, everyone!
The inside of the ship is very spacious and clean. There are separate toilets for men and women. During the trip, I was served mineral water and cold towels. There were also sick bags prepared for passengers who are prone to seasickness. I sat in the passenger compartment for a while and then moved up to the deck to enjoy the view.
To go to the deck, you have to go up the stairs leading to the VIP area. This VIP cabin is also very spacious, equipped with genuine leather seats that can be tilted to lean back, and each seat will be equipped with an additional entertainment screen in front. At the time I went, the VIP cabin of the Phu Quoc Express speedboat was also quite crowded with passengers. Opposite the VIP area is the deck with open doors to welcome visitors to come out to sightsee and take virtual photos. I highly recommend that everyone who takes a speedboat must definitely go up to the deck to see the scenery! An open space with an extremely chill view with the sea breeze blowing, the white waves rolling at the foot of the boat, the sunlight gently caressing the skin, along with the surrounding scenery of a vast, cool blue color of the ocean stretching far and wide, then touching the horizon.
The trip only took 35 minutes to reach Ly Son Fishing Port. The experience time was just enough to feel the smoothness of the ship, the beautiful scenery of nature, but still did not cause fatigue for passengers because of having to sit too long on the ship. I stepped off the ship with an extremely comfortable and healthy mood! The crew members also enthusiastically supported me and many other passengers to bring their luggage down the ship. It felt like the beginning of the trip was very impressive and smooth, making me full of happy energy to continue the journey.
Welcoming me to Ly Son Island is a bustling fishing port with boats coming and going. The bustling atmosphere here is in complete contrast to the image of the massive red ship standing silently in the middle of the water, watching the backs of groups of tourists getting off the ship and leaving. As if wanting to say goodbye to the beloved guests that it had taken from one port to another, it then hurriedly rushed into the clear blue water to continue its mission.
In my personal opinion, I feel that the ticket price of the Phu Quoc Express high-speed catamaran is reasonable, the quality of the ship is beautiful and very large, the ride is very smooth and safe. I was completely conquered by Phu Quoc Express. If you have the opportunity to travel by high-speed catamaran for tourism or work, you should try the experience of traveling by red ship! I believe this will be a decision that will satisfy you!
