In April 1951, the French colonialists brought Ms. Vo Thi Sau to a military court. At the end of the trial, Ms. Sau was sentenced to death for being underage. Faced with strong opposition from public opinion, especially the progressive French people, the French colonialists did not dare to carry out Ms. Sau's death sentence in Saigon but secretly sent her to Con Dao.

The fateful train carrying Ms. Vo Thi Sau and 40 political prisoners departed for Con Dao on the morning of January 21, 1952. On January 23, 1952, the French colonialists took Ms. Sau to the execution ground for execution, but Ms. Sau still held her head high, not afraid of the enemy's guns. At the execution ground, before being executed, Ms. Vo Thi Sau asked not to be blindfolded and shouted loudly: "Down with French colonialism! Long live an independent Vietnam! Long live Ho Chi Minh!". 

After her death, the grave of martyr Vo Thi Sau was placed at Hang Duong cemetery - Con Dao. Time to visit Ms. Sau's grave

The most suitable time to visit the tomb of Miss Sau Con Dao is:

Beginning of the year: The period from January to March of the lunar calendar is a suitable time because the 23rd day of the first lunar month is her main death anniversary. Therefore, this is also the time when Con Dao attracts a large number of visitors.
